Going into college I knew the workload was going to be a bigger challenge than highschool. When I got a tour of the school and actually learned what I was going to be doing and what the workload was, it sounded like I was going to be just fine and that I would breeze through the school semester no problem. Before I knew it I had 5 missing assignments and 10 assignments due in that same week. I was buried in homework and I knew I needed to take studying more seriously. I had a real tough time staying focused when I would try to study. That's when I started to take study breaks whenever I was burnt out or just couldn’t concentrate. Study breaks are great for your physical but most importantly mental health. As a student, teachers don’t understand that you have 3-5 other classes on top of theirs. They think they can shove all this work on us and it will be done by the due date every time. I think all students should take study breaks because we are young adults who have enough stress as is, stressing

over multiple hours of homework is not the answer but breaking that homework up with a few study breaks will help your mental health tremendously.
In conclusion, Study breaks are a great way to step away from school and feel free. They have helped me tremendously and I continue to do them to this day.
